The Swan Island Peace Convergence begins in Melbourne at 10am on Monday 4 July and continues the rest of the week in Queenscliff, Victoria. We will conclude conclude on the Friday morning 8 July. Here’s an outline of each day’s events.
Everyone is welcome to attend some or all of these activities.
Monday 4 July 2011
10am **Die-in with the Statue of Liberty (human statue) under the clocks at Flinder St station. Volunteers wishing to participate please come at 9:45am dressed in red.
1pm Die-in in Hesse St, Queenscliff, plus information stall
2pm Children’s peace activities & kite flying (Bridge St and in the park opposite)
3pm Placard/poster making (at the Salt House: 8 Wharf St, Queenscliff)
6pm Dinner at the Salt House (8 Wharf St, Queenscliff)
7pm Nonviolence training/planning meeting
