We arrived this afternoon and spent some time making banners for the week’s activities.

A few of the kids attached images of Afghan children to the gates of the Swan Island Military Base. They also wore blue scarves (made from Afghan material), which are worn by those campaigning for peace in Afghanistan. The scarves are sky blue, and signify that we all live under the same blue sky, and all have a need for peace.
